The historic Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley provided a fantastic setting for our Sunflower Weekend (24th & 25th May).
The event was attended by notable guests, including Mr. Nick Venning the Deputy Lord Lieutenant for the West Midlands, Mushtaq Hussain the Dudley Deputy Mayor and Cat Eccles MP for Stourbridge.
Hundreds of visitors enjoyed the entertainment, live music, arts & crafts and various activities on offer. A special thanks goes to the incredible Dudley Gentlemen Songsters Male Voice Choir, Black Country Brass, Shenstone Roses Choir, Dynamix, Rachel Dixon’s School of Dance, Black Eyed Susans, Cafe2U, Dan’s Ices, and Saz’s Ceramics, who all graciously contributed their time. It was wonderful to see so many families and visitors having fun around the Cone site, helping to raise over £2,000 for Blood Cancer Research and Patient Support.
