Beth’s Sunflowers has a board of dedicated trustees who all work to raise money and keep Beth’s legacy alive.

All the trustees are family or close friends of Beth and give their time freely to help with fundraising and promote awareness of blood cancer.

Message from the CEO

Thank you for visiting Beth’s Sunflowers. I am Andrea Childs, Beth’s Mum, and CEO of the Charity.

Our love for Beth and desire to keep her legacy alive, raise funds to help find a cure to Blood cancer and support other blood cancer patients is at the heart of what we do. We are a united group of people who all loved Beth dearly.

Our collective values of passion, determination, and teamwork means we, enjoy what we do and our flair for creativity means we are always coming up with new ideas for fundraising and awareness campaigns.

For all of Beth’s life she helped others, I remember when she was just 6 following the awful Boxing Day Tsunami in the Indian Ocean, Beth set up a stall at an indoor soft play area and sold her teddies and toys raising £20 for the Tsunami relief charity. Beth continued to fundraise all her life and competed in Cancer Research’s, Race for Life 4 times before blood cancer so cruelly took her life.

I felt very strongly after losing Beth that I needed to carry on her desire and work fundraising. To date I have raised over £10,000 for Blood Cancer charities and this year (2023) we have decided to set up Beth’s Sunflowers as a tribute and lasting memory to Beth.

I know Beth would be proud of what we are doing and the team I have around me supporting the charity and continuing Beth’s work.
