Two of Beth’s oldest friends from school, Louise Potter and Ria Lissimore, accomplished an impressive feat by completing the Birmingham half-marathon during the bank holiday weekend.
This was their first competitive race, and they ran through the historic heart of the city, starting on Broad Street at Centenary Square and finishing 13.1 miles later at the Smithfield site near the Bullring.
They received tremendous support from their families, friends, and work colleagues, and they were incredibly proud of their finishing times: Ria completed the race in 1:58:27, while Lou finished in 2:27:31. The girls also exceeded their fundraising goal, raising over £2,700 for Beth’s Sunflowers.
