Music, community spirit and fundraising came together in spectacular fashion at Festival on the Green at Castlecroft Rugby Club, Wolverhampton, on Saturday 20 June, where Beth’s Sunflowers and The Good Shepherd Trust were proudly chosen as the event’s two official charities.
The family-friendly tribute music festival attracted crowds of all ages, with performances celebrating some of the world’s biggest artists, including Oasis, The Killers, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Chappell Roan.
For Beth’s Sunflowers, it was a day to remember. Swapping their usual sunflowers for sweets, the charity’s colourful and hugely popular sweet stall proved to be a festival favourite. Alongside bubbles and glowing light sticks, supporters helped raise an incredible £1,200, with every pound supporting the charity’s work.
The event was made even more special thanks to the fantastic support of Pertemps whose volunteers generously gave their time as car park marshals and bucket collectors. Their warm smiles and friendly welcome were the first thing festival-goers experienced as they arrived, helping to create a positive atmosphere from the very start.
Representing Beth’s Sunflowers on the day were Steve, Vicky, Sally-Ann, Jo Jo and Bea, supported by an amazing team of volunteers who worked tirelessly to make the fundraiser such a success. Big shout out to Emily Bock, who sold light sticks well into the night!
A heartfelt thank you goes to every volunteer, supporter and festival-goer who helped make the day so memorable. Together, you turned a fantastic day of live music into an outstanding fundraising success for two deserving local charities.
