£4,500 donated from John’s Garden at Ashwood Nurseries Beth's Sunflowers

We are absolutely delighted that Beth’s Sunflowers has been chosen as Ashwood Nurseries’ external charity for 2026. This fantastic partnership is already making a real difference, helping us support blood cancer patients and their families while raising awareness of the work we do.

A wonderful partnership

Each Saturday, John Massey, owner of Ashwood Nurseries, generously opens his beautiful private garden to the public. Visitors can explore the stunning gardens for an £8 admission fee, with half of every entry fee donated directly to Beth’s Sunflowers.

Additional funds are also raised through collection boxes located throughout the nursery, gift shop, plant sales area and onsite restaurant, meaning every visit helps support our charity.

To thank everyone for their generosity, we have prepared more than 2,000 packets of Beth’s Sunflower seeds, available for a suggested donation of £2. We hope they bring a little sunshine to gardens across the region while helping us continue our work.

A successful plant fair

On 25 April, Ashwood Nurseries hosted a vibrant Plant Fair in John’s Garden, attracting hundreds of gardening enthusiasts from across the area.

Beth’s Sunflowers was proud to be part of the event with a charity stall featuring our merchandise alongside a beautiful selection of sunflower plants. It was wonderful to meet so many visitors, share Beth’s story and talk about the support our charity provides to blood cancer patients and their loved ones.

An incredible £4,500 raised

We were thrilled to learn that, since our partnership began on 1 February, Ashwood Nurseries has already raised more than £4,500 for Beth’s Sunflowers.

Reaching this milestone in just a few months is an incredible achievement and demonstrates the generosity of everyone who has visited, donated and supported the partnership.

With many more fundraising opportunities planned throughout the year, we are excited to see what we can achieve together.
